What will make this match-up interesting is that both teams are well rounded defensively and this game should be a low scoring, well played affair with the team getting the ball last as the potential victor. The AFC East will be a three-way affair and divisional games will be crucial in any future tie-breakers to determine who will get a possible home game or bye dependent upon the final seedings. LaDanian Tomlinson proved once again why he needs to be the featured back in a system that is currently by committee. Tomlinson was dangerous in the open field and showed himself to be versatile as both a rusher and receiver. While Shonn Greene made his presence felt, Tomlinson is the go-to back for the New York Jets. Both teams are well coached and led by enthusiastic leaders in Tony Sparano who is 20-15 while Rex Ryan is 12-9 overall. Sparano is 0-1 in the post season while Ryan is 2-1, but Sparano is undefeated head to head against Ryan as he swept the season series in 2009. Overall, the Jets hold a 46-41 edge with one tie with the Dolphins in this 50-year rivalry. Jason Taylor will come back to Miami as a hated New York Jet. Both clubs are headed by coaches that don't miss too many meals. The New York Jets are 1-1. No doubt the Jets want to take early control of the division with wins against Miami and Buffalo before the bye week while Miami can establish themselves as a legitimate contender for the post season should they knock the Jets out come this weekend in South Florida.
