Forest Whitaker and Jude Law are outstanding as the film's primary characters. Everyone knows Whitaker's versatility, playing the likable (Phenomenon), the conflicted (Panic Room), and the outright tyrannical (The Last King of Scotland).
Read on Repo Men Review Repo Men Opens Up New Wounds in Splatter Fest Repo Men Review Constantly overlooked by the Academy (worthy of supporting actor nominations for The Manchurian Candidate and Defiance, plus who didn't love him as Sabretooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Liev Schreiber plays Frank,Jordan 7 Shoes, a swarthy and soulless businessman and boss to the repo men. Schreiber, too, makes the most of his screen time — he is so convincing that viewers will think that if ever there were a corporation that repossessed artificial organs, Schreiber would be the heartless bastard in charge of collections. Repo Men is one of the top films of 2010. Period. The plot has some intriguing and excellently executed surprises. They will not be mentioned herein for spoiler purposes. Science fiction fans, listen up. Other critics are steering potential viewers wrong on this one. While Repo Men will take some heat from critics for the usual reasons, it will be adored by fans of exciting, unconventional cinema. It won't win any feel-good movie of the year awards, but it will keep audiences captivated, stunned, and, admittedly, a tad disgusted from start to finish. In the future, waiting for an organ donor is no longer necessary. Private corporation "The Union" will happily provide those in need with viable artificial replacements, naturally at a high cost. But like purchasing a home or a vehicle, payment plans are always an option, naturally at a high interest rate. Alice Braga (I Am Legend, Crossing Over, Predators) plays Remy's love interest, a singer and drug addict with many artificial parts. She makes the most out of her few opportunities to convey her acting depth and handles disturbing action as though it were second nature. Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, Alice Braga,Jordan 11 Space Jam, and Liev Schreiber Equal a Killer Cast in Repo Men But what happens when a purchaser misses a payment? Like a bank, The Union will simply send a late notice. Miss a few consecutive payments, however, and The Union will send its repo men. Basically, Remy and Jake are legalized murderers and sociopaths. As Jake says, "a job's a job." But when something goes wrong on a job and Remy himself needs an artificial heart, he loses his nerve. He can no longer cut into those who are in the same boat as him. Unable to pay his own bills, they pile up. Remy knows it is only a matter of time before the repo men come looking for him. Repo Men — The Plot Matches the Title with Law and Whitaker Playing Artificial Organ Repo Men In addition to an ingenious plot and well written script, fantastic direction from newcomer Miguel Sapochnik,Jordan 4, excellent action, and novel science fiction (excepting the film's reference to Monty Python's The Meaning of Life organ donor sketch),Jordan Team Elite, the performances were phenomenal. Remy (Jude Law) and Jake (Forest Whitaker) are friends and no-nonsense repo men. If a client is past due on payments, Remy and Jake's boss (Liev Schreiber) will send his men to collect. By then, it is too late for clients to make good on their debts. Remy and Jake are sent for the organs, and they never fail to retrieve them from their still breathing hosts. Eventually, however, the breathing stops. But Hey, Jude! Who knew Law could be so lawless?
