The baby blessing will be performed by a member of the Melchizedek Priesthood; when possible, the blessing will be performed by the baby’s father or another family member. The person performing the baby naming ceremony will hold the child while other Melchizedek priesthood members gather around and place their hands under the baby as well. When performed for a child who is old enough to sit,Air Jordan 7, the child will sit in a chair while the men gently place their hands on the child’s head.
Similar to a prayer, the man will address Heavenly Father.He then will state that the blessing is being performed by the authority of the Melchizedek priesthood.The full name of the child will be stated.A priesthood blessing is then given according to the direction of the Holy Ghost.He will then close the baby blessing in the name of Jesus Christ (Church Handbook, p. 32).
After the blessing,Jordan Spiz'ike, a church record is made for the child and a blessing certificate is created as a keepsake for the parents.

A baby blessing is a common ceremony for LDS members, however people who are not familiar with the Mormon church may have many questions of the purpose, how it is done and who has the authority to perform the ceremony.
The LDS baby blessing is performed during sacrament meeting that's open to all church members and any guests whom have been invited to attend. Sacrament meeting is usually held during the first hour of the Mormon church service.
