Another surprise addition was Ivana Trump who joined the house yesterday during a magic show, much to the bemusement of the original housemates. Time will tell how popular she will prove with her fellow interns. Viewers will be curious to know what her motivation is for doing this show. Surely it can't be money?
This is the final year for the highly successful Big Brother brand in the UK. After ten years of bringing many weird and wonderful people to our screens, Channel 4 announced that it would not be renewing its contract with Endemol for the ‘reality’ show. January 2010 sees the final series in its ‘Celebrity’ version grace the screens before Big Brother switches off its all-seeing eye in the UK.
Stephen Baldwin: The first contestant into the house. Bankrupt actor-turned-Bible-preacher Baldwin strangely waited for permission outside the Big Brother living room door before entering the house. He’s been giving cage fighter Alex Reid boxing tips and enjoys name-dropping, especially if the name is ‘God’ or ‘Jesus’.Stephanie Beacham: Posh grandma Stephanie quickly took on the house matriarch role, although with a new female sexagenarian in the house, the dynamics may change. She enjoys hanging out in the snug and believes she could get the boot for snoring.Nicola T: Former Page 3 model. Born in Croydon. Engaged to a footballer.Dane Bowers: Almost as exciting a personality as Nicola.Sisqo: American R&B singer of “Thong Song” fame. Big Brother got revenge by pressuring him into wearing a mankini (a la Borat) in a house contest. He won the competition and impressed the female judges with his derriere.Alex Reid: Cage fighter and Katie Price’s current boyfriend. Alex has been lamenting his lack of privacy at the hands of the press, who want to know the latest goings on in their relationship. Stephen Baldwin seems keen to groom Alex to become either a) a Christian and / or b) the next Daniel Craig.Jonas Erik Altberg / Basshunter: Swedish dance songster Jonas is becoming known for his snowman building talent, love of human gas expulsion and love for Ekaterina Ivanova,Nike Dunk High, aka Katia, who showed a talent for the gas thing earlier in the week.Lady Sovereign: Young UK rapper ‘Sov’ joined Jonas in a Guantanamo-style punishment (harsh retribution for him not pouring sand into someone else’s bed), suffering his dance hit “Now You’re Gone” on repeat. Sov claims that she’s bigger in the US and Japan than in her homeland.Ekaterina Ivanova / Katia: Went out with Ronnie Wood and broke up his 24 year marriage. Has been enjoying some ‘innocent flirting’ (her words) with Jonas, which has included cuddling up to him in bed and some suspected smooching.Heidi Fleiss: America’s most infamous ex-pimp, Heidi now lives in seclusion in Nevada with a bunch of parakeets. She has spent most of her first Big Brother week in bed and calling Stephen a ‘dork’ for his preaching. She has a strange looking mouth.Vinnie Jones: Former football player. Renowned hard man and actor Vinnie is an interesting addition to the house. Currently the bookie’s favourite to win, he spoke of wanting to leave the house in the first few days but ater playing host in the “Hunk Off’ (and thus avoiding mankini embarrassment) Vinnie seems to be warming up to the experience.No Big Brother Eviction this Week.
