These are some board games that you can play along with your friend, wife or special someone. The Abalone is a strategy board game played by each player having two sets of fourteen marbles each in a hexagonal game board with 61 spaces. The goal of the game is to push the opponent’s marbles out of the hexagonal board’s edges. The Chinese Checkers, played on a star shaped game board, has an objective of moving one’s pieces across the opposite side of the game board. The Othello is a game played on an 8 row and 8 column board also with two sets of pieces and its goal of retaining the most number of pieces at the end of the game. Other board games that can be played by only two players are Checkers, Suguroku, Kamisado, Stratego, Plateau, Obsession, Backgammon, Cross and Circle, and Downfall. <br />Board Games Utilizing Physical Abilities <br />Board games of physical skills or dexterity games are those that require physical abilities, coordination, and mental skills to win the game. They usually challenge the player or players both physically and mentally since they need finesse, dexterity, and coordination. Examples of these games include Crokinole, an almost 140 year old game developed in Canada by Eckhardt Wettlaufer. The game which is a combination of English, French,<a href="http://www.nikeairmaxhead.com/nike_air_max_180" target="_blank">Nike Air Max 180</a>, East Indian,<a href="http://www.nikeairmaxhead.com/nike_air_max_skyline" target="_blank">Air Max Skyline</a>, and German games consists of a board with three concentric rings corresponding to certain points and checker sized disks. In the game, which is played by two teams and each team consists of two to four players, the checker sized disks are tapped or flipped from the outer edge of the gaming board and with the intention of hitting the board’s center but to hit the opponents disks that are already on the board otherwise the turn is considered foul. Some other board games that require physical skills are Subboteo, Kerplunk, Carabande, Twister,<a href="http://www.nikeairmaxhead.com/nike_air_max_2010" target="_blank">Nike Air Max 2010</a>, Jenga, Perfection,<a href="http://www.nikeairmaxhead.com/nike_air_max_2003" target="_blank">Air Max 2003</a>, Topple, Carrom, and other board games that use physical skills. <br />The Speedy Race Board Games <br />One of the earliest board game created is the race board games which players contend to be the first to reach the goal. It entails moving game pieces on a game board following specific game rules and the player who managed to bring all pieces at the end of the track, headquarters, or home wins. The most popular among the race games is Backgammon, also a member of the tables family, is a game of luck and strategy which has an objective of removing all of the opponent’s pieces off the board. Movements on this game are counted on the dice’s roll and can be played only by two people. Other examples of race board games include the Egyptian Senet, European Game of the Goose, Ludo, and Transformers. Some race board games can be played with utmost simplicity as tossing the dice and making a move or could be a very complex game involving luck, skills, and strategy combined. <br />Action Packed War Board Games <br />War board game is a type of board game that portrays either a real or imaginative military operation. These games have varying difficulty which could either be simple or high level simulation and strategy is required. First to be released in 1954 was the Tactics by Charles Robert which had two editions, Tactics II and 25th Anniversary, where its game mechanics became the benchmark for the other board games.
