Post subject: jordan spizike Doctors Don't Have A Clue!
This morning on of my members told me how here doctor recommended that she stop eating carbs. As a medical professional he should know that the primary fuel for the brain and lungs are carbs, but I guess they didn't teach that in medical school.

Finally one member's doctor advised her to eat and exercise a certain way for her body type. As a medical professional he should know that there is no medical proof that exercising and eating for blood or body type.

For years I've corrected this issue on a one on one basis because I didn't want to offend the masses, but I've had enough!
Another member was told that if she is 30lbs overweight then she is obese. As a medical professional he should know that your body fat percentage is what determines whether or not you are obese, but I guess they didn't teach that in medical school.
Some doctors are coming to this realization and are partnering with personal trainer, nutritionist, life coaches or opening wellness center which carry trainer and coaches.
Ok, one more! On foolish doctor advised a client to go from eating over 3000 calories a day (which most people eat without knowing it), to eating only 1200 calories a day. As a medical "whatever" she should know that a reduction that sever will cause a body go into starvation and retain fat, so that the only weight loss you experience is water and muscle!
NOW IN ALL FAIRNESS, up until the last 5 years or so most doctors only went through 3 hours (not semester hrs, but 1pm-4pm) of exercise and nutrition training. So they just didn't/don't know and they follow whatever FAD is available. Doctors are taught to manage their clients with drugs and surgeries. Understand some drugs are needed and some surgeries are needed. For people who have been trying to do it the natural way, but just can't seem to get it done, should see a competent Bariatric Surgeon. Someone who just want an easy way out should not, because they'll find themselves back at square one years later!

A member's doctor told her that her cholesterol level of 119 is too high and that she needs to exercise more. As a medical professional she should know that a cholesterol level below 200 is considered ideal, but I guess they didn't teach that in medical school.
