Today, when their Thursday article comes up for review, all 4 articles will be loaded in our editors queue for processing at once rather than in the order they were received.This has been the way it8217;s been since the beginning and here are the reasons why:Improved processing speed: Every members pattern is unique to them in most cases and once that pattern is identified, it8217;s easier for one Editor on our team to review all of their submissions at once instead of the chance 4 different Editors will review this members articles.Improved consistency in review: If one Editor is doing the review, chances are high they will be more consistent in review opinion than (4) different Editors reviewing this example members articles.Decreased support costs for us: If we reviewed articles in the order they came in with no clustering, members will flood us with questions as to why we reviewed 1 or 2 of their articles but ignored their 3rd and 4th when in reality, we8217;re just running behind by 4-7 days in review.In an ideal world, we8217;re not running behind by 4-7 days for any member; but every time we hire more people8230; you8217;all submit a ton more articles. <img src="http://picsrv.fora.pl/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" border="0" /> BUT, I think we may get ahead this time as (5) new full time Editors started today and will be up to speed by the end of October.Myth: If a clump of my articles get reviewed all at once, I may never make it to the home page. Sorry, not true. Every article still makes it to the home page; even though the maximum any article is on the home page right now is less than a half hour.Note: Premium members can schedule their articles for release up to 90 days into the future8230;so they have a work around for this issue.There is a lot of fighting for your article being 8220;the top article8221; in that category view of any category8230; as if this means big traffic or something. Sorry, that8217;s not true despite how most members I talk to swear that it8217;s true. What matters more to us is not whether our members win in the short-term, but that our members all win over the long-term. What happens on any given day is less important than the overall traffic snowball that is created when quality content meets a hungry audience over time.Myth: We approve articles when we feel like it. Sorry, far from true. We have a great internal motivation to improve article review speed because we know article submissions are directly tied to article review speed8230; so it8217;s in our best interest to get them reviewed as fast as possible.
