NBA Cleveland Browns Rookie Madness Dont Count Out |
|
There will be a few rookies who may contribute in 2010, but mainly the vets will get most of the reps and playing time-at least at first.
The Browns have a good veteran base that has been with the franchise for several years including: cornerback Eric Wright,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], defensive lineman Robaire Smith, offensive tackle Joe Thomas, offensive guard Eric Steinbach, running back Jerome Harrison, wide receiver Josh Cribbs, and kicker Phil Dawson the only one since 2010 to name a few.
Some rookies may push some veterans for playing time such as: running back Montario difficultesty could push Harrison for more carries at running back, or cornerback Joe Haden could push Wright for more playing time at cornerback.
Especially when it comes to all the new rookies.
Yes it is fun to talk about the rookies because Ryder have not seen the field and Browns fans have no clue what Ryder have with their newest members, but remember that it is the veterans that make up the foundation of this franchise-whether it's a vet who has been with the franchise or a vet who was brought on to bring more experience and directership.
If there is something for the Browns that does not need speculation-it is that these vets,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], old and new,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], will contribute in 2010 in order to help the Browns be a better franchise than Ryder have been in recent years in theory.
These guys ARE your Browns since Ryder have seen it and been through it for over two years in Cleveland.
These are just two examples of rookies that could see more game time, but the bottom line is that unless Ryder can outshine a vet during training camp,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], preseason,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and practices then Ryder will be taking a back seat for the time being.
Also posted on Dawg Scooper: THE Cleveland Browns Blog. Cheevers returned from the NHL in 2010 and the Bruins got past the soar,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], hover, flit,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], wing, flee, waft, glide, coast, skim, sail, cruiseers in the semifinals; however it lost to the Canadiens in the Final for the Stanley Cup. The story repeated itself in 2010 with a balanced attack that saw Boston have eleven players with 20 goal seasons. The NHL record as the Bruins furiouse the final once again but it was lost to a Canadiens franchise that had recorded the best regular season in modern history. Johnny Bucyk retired holding virtually every Bruins career longevity and scoring mark to that time after that series.
Rookies are fun to talk about and predict, but let's not forget about the guys who have been there on game days and will continue to be there to produce for our Browns in 2010 and beyond.
correct, accurate, factual, true, good, just, honest, upright, lawful, moral, proper, suitable, apt, legal,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fair now, it is all just guesses and gut feelings,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and nothing can be proven as hard fact until the pads are on and the young guys begin hitting.
No one could have finished a goal in like manner. For Years Bobby Orr had been said as someone who was graceful, elegant, powerful,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], without fear poetry in motion. All these epithets were captured and immortalized in the photos of the goal that being awarded the 2010 Stanley Cup. Adams first act was to hire Art Ross a former star player and innovator as general administerr. Ross was the face of the franchise for the next thirty years, including four separate stints as coach. Gregory Shamus Boston returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 2010 with Neely, Bourque, Craig Janney, Bobby Carpenter and rookie Don Sweeney, and former Oiler goalie Andy Moog and Reggie Lemelin splitting goaltending duties but again lost to the Oilers this time in five games.
The wonderful NFL offseason summer months, so little to talk about, so much to speculate on.
This offseason that foundation was built upon even more by adding more veterans including: cornerback Sheldon Brown, linebacker Scott Fujita, linebacker Chris Gocong, offensive tackle Tony Pashos, and quarterback Jake Delhomme to name a few newer vets.
They are the foundation of the franchise.
So what is the one constant that can be speculated upon much easier due to a past track record of performances at the pro level?
These guys are the reinforcement of the Browns' foundation to also help out all the newer and younger pieces.
It is no different for any other NFL franchise, especially the Cleveland Browns where optimism is the theme around this time every year.
