Video: [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] Stuffs Kerry Collins
Despite being down to their third- and fourth-string quarterbacks (Dennis Dixon and Charlie Batch, respectively) the Pittsburgh Steelers have found a way to start the season 2-0. The biggest reason -- perhaps the only reason -- is a defense that has been playing out of its mind over the first two games, allowing only one touchdown, a Nate Washington grab with less than a minute to play in the fourth quarter of the Steelers 19-11 win on Sunday.
Leading the way for Pittsburgh on defense is strong safety [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who is making a pretty convincing argument that if he's not the best defensive player in the NFL, he's at least in the discussion. Through the first two games he's already intercepted two passes and recorded 11 tackles, while seemingly being everywhere on the field.
On Sunday, he made one of the best plays of the day when he stuffed Titans quarterback Kerry Collins with a perfectly timed leap over the line of scrimmage.

To have the athleticism to make such a play is one thing; to perfectly time it the way [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] did is absolutely incredible.
The Steelers defense forced seven turnovers on the day, chased starting quarterback Vince Young and limited All-Pro running back Chris Johnson to just 34 yards on 16 carries, snapping his streak of 12 consecutive 100-yard performances.
