The differences in the cultures that are found in the country have defined the diversity in the country for so many years of its freedom and overall existence. The dances in India are one mirror of the growth and existence of these cultures in India and the way they have grown and furiouse their existence known to the world. Gagner competed for Team Canada at the 2007 World Junior Championships in Sweden. He played in all games as the youngest player on the team which helped Canada to their 3rd of five straight gold medals. Other parts of the country like Gujarat have their own dance like the Garba and the Dandiya which is played with sticks. Every dance has one special significance in the specific culture. Some dances are ways to worship god or tell stories about the gods like the Raasleela. All these dances are performed win different ways from each other and form one great assortment in the same country.
Different states in the country have their different dance forms like Bihar has Bihu,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Odissi is seen in Orissa, Bhangra in Punjab, Bharatnatyam in Tamil Nadu etc. There are other forms of dance as well which belong to the tribes in West Bengal,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Orissa and Jharkhand and is called the Chau dance.
Gagner originally dedicated him to play hockey at the collegiate level for the University of Wisconsin Madison. He decided to play closer to home and play major junior hockey in Canada later. He was considered a first round talent and the London Knights took him in the 4th round of the 2006 NHL entry draft on a flyer as his commitment to play college hockey prevent many NHL teams from drafting him. Joined by future NHL stars Patrick Kane and Sergei Kostitsyn on the Knights top line in 2007, Gagner scored 118 points in 53 games,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 5th in league scoring. He also captained Team Burns Bergeron Red in the 2007 CHL Top Prospects Game to a 5 to 3 victory over Team Bowman Demers White. India is said to have the richest cultural heritage in all countries around the globe. This is due to the different communities that thrive under the same sky and the tolerance that they have for each other. Different types of cultures have different dances in India.
