How the fragrance oils originate |
|
The origin of the fragrances goes back to those days when the African tribesman used to put a thick coat of aroma over their body to protect it from the powerful rays of sun and torments of the nature. Not to be left behind,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Oriental and the Mesopotamian culture also used aroma and fragrance oils to enhance their complexion and skin texture.
How the fragrance oils originate?
Aromatic oils present in the plant cells are the reason for the strong scents originating from all flora species. To capture these fragrances,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], all one requires to do is just soak the aromatic parts of the plants in alcohol or mineral or olive oil and wait for the natural fragrances to be released. Creating a complex mix of chemical components and beautiful auras easily recognizable to consumers and using them for a variety of applications such as soaps,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], perfumes and a whole range of cosmetic products.
The process is tedious and consists of separating the primary organic compounds known as "terpenes" from the plants through a distillation process. This procedure further involves passing steam over the plants to evaporate all volatile compounds and condensing them through water droplets. However, the different varieties of fragrances created depend on the recipe used for mixing and many commercial perfumes are made from such several complex recipes.
Creating fragrance oils
Usually manufactured from mixed synthetic aroma compounds,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], all fragrance oils are synthetic oils included under perfume oils, aroma oils and flavour oils. When dissolved with vegetable and mineral oils,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], these fragrance oils are mostly used for purposes involving perfumery and flavouring for food and the most illustrious activity of them an alternative healing procedure known as aromatherapy.
Not to be mixed with perfume oils, fragrance oils are aroma chemicals not available in the diluted form and like essential oils should not be placed directly on the skin in concentrated form. The need is to dilute them it into a final product use because fragrance oils can be made of a complex mixture consisting of innumerable aroma chemicals.
